Introduction

The Sky Bringup, LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the SkyScope mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

We are committed to collecting only the minimum information necessary to provide our service.

  • Account and Sign-In Information: The current App does not expose a named-account sign-in form and does not require a name or email address. Before a purchase or certain service operations, the shared auth layer may create or restore a pseudonymous device or service session. A future named sign-in flow would be covered by an updated policy before it ships.
  • Device and Account Identifiers: A stable randomly generated device identifier may be linked to a pseudonymous service session for access, usage limits, security, purchase verification, and recovery. This is not an advertising identifier and is not a named account.
  • App Activity and Diagnostics: The App sends first-party events and technical context through The Sky Bringup Gateway to self-hosted Plausible Analytics. These can include App, platform, version and build, account or session identifiers, screen and event names, IP address, user agent, and error information. Photo files, document text, and purchase tokens are not included in these analytics events.
  • Purchase Information: Apple App Store or Google Play processes payment. The store provides purchase status and transaction information that our Gateway verifies to manage entitlements and credits and resolve payment issues. We do not receive your full payment card details.
  • Support Requests: If you send a support request, we process the contact email and problem description you choose to provide, plus related App and payment diagnostic context, to investigate and respond. Support-message content is not included in Plausible analytics events.

Device Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

  • Camera: Used to capture photos for AI analysis. Photos you submit are sent through our Gateway to the configured AI provider to create your requested analysis.
  • Photo Library: Used to select existing photos for analysis. Selected photos are submitted only when you request analysis and follow the processing and retention information below.
  • Location: Used to provide sky context. When you enable location for a camera scan, location coordinates are sent through The Sky Bringup Gateway to the configured AI provider with the analysis request. SkyScope does not use this location for tracking.

How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the App's core functionality
  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse
  • To understand first-party product usage and improve the App

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google Gemini (via OpenRouter): Provides AI analysis. Image data is sent to Google's servers for processing. Please review Google's AI Terms.
  • Self-hosted Plausible Analytics: Processes the first-party events and technical context described above for product measurement and reliability.
  • Internal Support Tools: Support collaboration services such as Feishu may process a short preview of general feedback and the contact email you provide to help our team handle reports. Requests submitted as “Payment not received” are excluded from these notifications.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play: Handle purchases on their respective platforms. Our Gateway verifies transaction information to maintain entitlements.

Data Retention

Local history and saved content remain on your device until removed. Requested results may be retained to support retrieval and recovery. Account, device, purchase-verification, analytics, security, and support records may be retained as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. AI providers and infrastructure services handle submitted content under their applicable terms and operational retention practices. We do not promise that all service-side data is deleted immediately when a response arrives. Contact us about available access or deletion options.

Data Security

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the limited data we process.

Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Service-side records can be associated with your pseudonymous device or service session. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete this information. If you have any concerns about your data, you may contact us at any time to request information about or deletion of any data we may hold. See our account deletion page for the request steps.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
